01 / WHAT YOU NEED
What you need
A domain you own, from any company that sells them. Every paid plan includes up to 5 of your own domains for each live app, at no extra charge. The domain shows your site once your app is live.
02 / ADD IT
Add your domain
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Ask your AI to add your domain, or open Domains in your dashboard. You approve adding it in your browser, with the code Gemmein emails you. |
| 2 | Add the two records the Domains page shows, at the company you bought the domain from. Your AI can tell you exactly where they go in that company’s menus. |
| 3 | Your site shows at the www address. To have the address without www open it too, turn on forwarding to the www address at the company you bought it from. |
| 4 | Wait for “Live at”. Gemmein checks on its own. It usually takes a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour. |
03 / WHAT IT SAYS
What the Domains page says
| It says | What it means |
|---|---|
| Waiting for the ownership record | The record that proves the domain is yours isn’t found yet. Nothing is shown at the domain until it is. |
| Connecting… | The domain is yours, and the secure connection is being set up. |
| Live at https://www.yourshop.com | Your live site is shown there. |
| Needs attention | A record no longer points at your site, or the domain already shows another app. The page says which record to fix. |
| Offline | Connected, and your live site is taken offline, so it shows “This site is offline” until you put it back online. |
